Performance 2018

How do we decide what is human and what is animal, what is object and what is subject, what is male and what is female? The performance körper.proben deals with concepts of the body. As an exemplary relationship between humans and animals, we conducted interviews with dog owners. How are these relationships constituted? How do dogs and dog owners differ from each other, and where do they resemble each other? How does communication between bodies work, beyond language? Can our bodies become something between human and animal, individual and group, subject and object? körper.proben is an attempt to bring a physicality onto the stage that, in its constant transformation, subverts common strategies of classification and thus creates a utopia of life in constant change with one another.
